What is a promotional code?
A promotional code is a combination of characters that allows your customers to view and acquire your services at a discounted rate.
You can also use it as an incentive to offer to other channels that also sell your services, such as the hotel reception where your spa is located, other nearby hotels, travel agencies, and, in general, any company you collaborate with.
How do promotional codes work on the web?
If the option for promotional codes is activated in the configuration of your spa, the following message will be displayed in the purchasing engine:
When entering the promotional code, the discount (in the example, it would be -100%) will be applied automatically:
⚠️If any service in the engine already has a configured offer, the discount from the promotional code will be added to it.
How to create a promotional code?
From the side menu, go to CRM > Channels and select Add New +.
In the popup window, specify the Channel Name (and a brief Description for your reference).
In the Alias field, enter the name of the promotional code you want to create. You can use letters and numbers (for example, PROMO15), but make sure not to insert any spaces.
In the Spa Discount and Voucher Discount sections, enter the discount you want to apply to online reservations and vouchers, respectively.
⚠️To apply the percentage as a negative value (as a discount), you must include the minus sign (-) before the number. For example, if you want to apply a 15% discount, enter -15 in the field. Otherwise, it will be considered a surcharge of 15%.
How to activate/deactivate a promo code?
Promo codes cannot be activated/deactivated on a scheduled basis; they must be done manually.
Once the promo code is created, it is activated immediately. You just need to select which services the discount will apply to, as detailed in the next section (Are promo codes valid for all services?).
If you no longer wish to offer the discount, go to the created channel and set the percentage to 0.
⚠️ You should not delete a sales channel created as a promo code, as doing so would result in the loss of all data associated with the campaign.
Are promo codes valid for all services?
After creating the code, you can choose which services it applies to and which it does not.
⚠️ Loading the promotional code into the services may take a few minutes.
You have two options for this:

CRM > Sales Channels
Through the services column, you can check or uncheck the services based on the desired configuration.
When you click, a new popup window opens where you can select the treatment you want to modify. As shown in the image below, you can activate/deactivate the checkbox and save changes.
Manage > Treatments/Packs
The created promotional code will appear as a new sales channel in the configuration of each service, and you can activate or deactivate it from Manage > Treatments/Packs > Advanced > Sales Channels:
Can I know how many reservations/sales a promotional code has generated?
To obtain a report of reservations and sales using a promotional code, simply access the lists from the side menu Reports > Vouchers/Appointments.
The Sales Channel column will display the channel through which the sale was made (web, reception, Spalopia…and now also the channel you just created).
